Madrid, the capital of Spain, or Madrid, the capital of taste! Nowadays, there are various innovations in the culinary area, and they can be found in many old and new restaurants around Madrid city center. Besides the fish and the seafood for which Madrid is famous, there still are the tapas, which remain a Madrid traditional dish, at a cost of a few euros.


Hard Rock Cafe

A preferred location for American food, the restaurant is famous in Madrid for its car suspended from the ceiling that will surely make your lunch or dinner unforgettable. You can check out the restaurant on 2, Paseo Castellana St.


El fogon de Trifon

Located on 144, Ayala St., it is considered one of the top restaurants in Madrid. With a cozy atmosphere and friendly faces, this small restaurant will need advance booking but it will amaze you with its specialties such as las croquetas de morcilla o de jamon iberico, callos a la madrilena, bacalao al estilo del 'Fogon', los huevos de Trifon.


La Trainera

You can find the restaurant on 60, Lagasca St., near Madrid city center. It is famous for its fish and seafood specialties, all organized in a rustic appearance, similar to a tavern.


La Terraza del Casino de Madrid

Arranged in a private social club, which was founded in 1836, the restaurant is a high class, expensive one. It is located on 15, Alcala St., very close to the city center, and its menus always start with a "Caipirinha Nitro", a cocktail that will take your culinary interest in more traditional dishes.


El Pimiento Verde Sidreria Vasca

A typical Basque restaurant, with reasonable prices of about 25-30€ per person, the place is a traditional Spanish restaurant, visited by both locals and tourists, due to its location, close to many central Madrid hotels.


El Patio Andaluz

One of the most traditional Spanish restaurants, El Patio Andaluz is a very affordable place to eat, even if it's in the heart of Madrid. You can check it out on 1, Calle Arlaban St.


Extremadura

Extremadura is a region considered to provide natural ingredients for the meals prepared in some of the most visited restaurants. The place that took the region's name will please you with its home cooked plates usually made of ham, sausages and tenderloin. The restaurant is present in Madrid for 25 years now, it is located on 13, Calle Libertad and will offer you affordable prices of around €25 for a menu.


Thai Gardens

Located on 3, Paseo de la Havana St., the restaurant is probably the most famous and the best Thai traditional meals provider in the entire city! Most of the dishes are prepared with green curry and the prices are around 35€ per person.


Indian Aroma

Certainly the best option for Indian food lovers, the restaurant is located right in Madrid city center on 6, Calle Ventura de la Vega, and it offers you traditional Indian food, as well as Indian music and decorations. For a central restaurant, we can consider it a cheap one, because a menu will cost you around 20€.


Donzoko

A traditional Japanese meal is always a good choice if you are a fan of sushi, sashimi, sukiyaki and yakitori! Donzoko can offer you all of these on 3, Calle Echegaray St., at very reasonable prices of approximately 25€ per person.


Vegetarians don't have a thing to worry about while in Madrid, because the city has a wide range of vegetarian restaurants that will spoil you with fresh salads, grilled vegetables or veduras a la plancha, and of course, meat substitutes. If you are interested in eating vegetarian meals, you can go to Vegetarian Art, arranged in Italian style, located on 77, Calle Fernan Gonzalez; Al Natural, located in Madrid city center on 11, Calle Zorrilla and La Galette, a romantic choice on 10, Barbara de Braganza.
